Is this legal advice?
No. FinePrint is pattern matching against 30+ known warranty-trap phrases, explained in plain English. It will miss cleverly worded traps and occasionally flag harmless text. If the score is low, take the contract to a mechanic you trust or your state attorney general's consumer protection office.
How does the detection work?
The demo runs entirely in your browser: it scans your contract text for known trap patterns (exclusion language, maintenance requirements, claim caps, arbitration clauses) and scores what it finds. No AI, no servers, no account.
Does my contract leave my device?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Analyses are stored only in your browser's local storage, which you can delete anytime.
What about PDF contracts?
Copy the text out of the PDF and paste it in, or save as .txt and upload. Direct PDF parsing is on the roadmap.
What if it finds nothing?
That means none of the known patterns matched, not that the contract is safe. Clever drafting can dodge pattern matching. Always read the exclusions section yourself.
